Chris Brown’s Secret Baby With Friend Nia Guzman

R&B singer, Chris Brown, Recently discovered that he was the father of a 9 month old baby named Royalty. Royalty’s mother, Nia Guzman, allegedly was the one who leaked the news. This caused the media to know about the child before Chris wanted them too. He had just found out, and wanted to sit down with his girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, and tell her the news.

Tran did not take the news very well; likely because she was blind-sided, and has since broken up with Chris. She stated on Twitter that she hopes for the best for Chris and his family, but she will not be a part of any baby drama.

Brown had a deal with Guzman that if the former model could continue to keep his daughter out of the media, he would pay more child support than what he was required to pay. Since the news has been leaked, the singer is ready to take Nia to court and cut back on the amount of child support he is paying.

Although he would like to cut back on how much he is paying, he still wants to have a good relationship with his daughter. Chris has reportedly been showering baby Royalty with gifts. He has bought her a pair of Nike’s and an abundance of new clothes.

The singer was very emotional as he saw his daughter for the first time. Guzman and her thirteen year old daughter came to visit Chris on his tour bus so that he could meet Royalty. Many have said that he loved her on the spot, and that he is determined to be the best father possible.

Empire Distribution Files Lawsuit Against FOX

Recently, FOX network has had a lawsuit filed against them by a music distribution company called Empire Distribution. The company applied for the rights to “Empire”, “Empire Distribution”, and “Empire Recordings”. There is a movie called “Empire Records” but there is no word that the company has filed a lawsuit against the people involved with the film.

Empire Distribution thinks that FOX has no right to use the word “Empire” for their TV show. They believe that FOX is using their name, so they are willing to sue for the rights. The company distributes and publishes music with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, and many more. Empire distribution also claims that it is being hurt by the fictitious label on the show.

The company is willing to compromise if they are paid eight million dollars by FOX. They have even lowered the price to five million if some of their artists are featured on the show “Empire”.

However, FOX is refusing to pay the amount. They are currently filing a lawsuit to ask a judge to declare Empire distribution’s claim illegitimate. Considering that the distribution company is found on the seventh page of Google, FOX feels that the company is obscure.

FOX is reluctant to change the name of the TV show, because it has had seen a lot of success for the music featured in the show. In the week that the Empire soundtrack was debuted, it reached No. 1 on Top R&B/ Hip Hop Albums. This made it the first soundtrack to ever crown the 50 year list. The soundtrack also made No. 1 on the Billboard’s 200 Chart.

Update on Bobbi Kristina Brown

Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to show no signs of waking up. Doctors report that there is a slim chance that Brown will wake up from this. By the end of this week, her family may be facing the decision on whether or not to take her off life support.

She has been in a medically induced coma since January 31st. There has not been much revealed, but all signs are pointing to the fact that Bobbi is brain dead. That being said, it is not likely that she will ever wake up.

Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was banned from seeing her at the hospital. Brown’s family never trusted Nick. They have always feared that he was emotionally abusing her. Bobbi’s aunt even got a restraining order from Gordon in 2014.

Following all of the media speculation, Gordon made an appearance on Dr Phil. There he talked about how guilty he felt saying, “I feel like I let Whitney down, I feel like I’ve let Krissy down. I was supposed to protect her and I failed to do that.”

Gordon also talked about the ring that he gave to Bobbi. This is a different ring than the one Brown’s mother, Whitney Houston, gave her. When Nick mentioned a ring on Dr Phil, the family seemed to notice that the passed down ring from Whitney was missing. The ring is estimated to be worth 250 thousand dollars.

Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams Are Found Guilty of Plagiarism

The song “Blurred Lines” has been under speculation ever since it came out in 2013. Critics noticed how similar it sounded to Marvin Gaye’s song “Got to Give it Up.” Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams have been enduring this fight with Gaye’s family ever since the song came out.

After two years of legal drama, the Judge finds the two singers guilty of copyright. A week long trial ensues; resulting in the artists having to pay $7.3 million to Marvin’s family.

Marvin’s family was present at court. His three children, Nona, Frankie, and Marvin Gay III, were there to hear the verdict. After the trial, Nona Gaye stated, “Right now, I feel free…free from…Pharrell Williams and Robin Thicke’s chains and what they tried to keep on us and the lies that were told”.

The hit song made over $16 million in profit, and each singer made $5 million. The rapper, T.I. made $700,00 for his contribution to the song. The song gave them the opportunity for two Grammy Award nominations.

Thicke and Williams are disappointed by the verdict, and their attorneys say they plan to appeal. Legal experts seem to think they have a shot because they may be able to find many differences in the songs if you compare the sheet music.

Both artists are successful singers and songwriters. Robin is known for his work on Usher’s album “Confessions”. He was globally recognized, though, when “Blurred Lines” was released. Pharrell is responsible for co-writing many of today’s popular songs. Some of his hit songs include “Get Lucky”, and “Happy”.
